The Argentine Republic is located in the southern extreme of the American Continent. Because of its size it is the second country in South America, the fourth considering the entire American Continent, and the eighth in the world. The Argentinean territory extends over a large portion of the Southern part of the continent, its limits are: Bolivia and Paraguay in the North, Chile in the West and South, and Uruguay and the Atlantic Ocean, towards the East.
